FLORIDA FLIGHT ADD VETERAN GUARD MIKE DEAN

(Orlando, FL) - The Florida Flight proudly announce the addition of veteran guard Mike Dean (6'2''-G-82, college: Middle
Tenn.St.) to their 2011 player roster.
A Middle Tennessee State University alum, Dean has been playing professionally across the globe for the past seven years. From
Poland, Germany, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, and several minor league circuits in the United States, including
the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and the NBA Developmental League, Dean has made an all-star impact at each stop
along the way.
"Mike was a teammate of mine when we both played for the East Kentucky Miners of the CBA in 2007-2008," said Flight Owner
and President Mark King. "He's a very hard worker, and will fit perfectly within the culture and chemistry of our basketball
program."
Dean led the CBA in scoring with Rio Grande Valley Silverados before being traded to the East Kentucky Miners midway through
the 2007-2008 season. Upon his arrival in Pikeville, Kentucky, he was asked to share the scoring burden with NCAA National
champion Josh Pace. On March 2, 2008, the Miners broke a 29-year CBA record for most points scored in a game by a team with
a 194-115 win over the Atlanta Krunk. Dean led all scorers with 44 points that night.
Dean recently returned from playing in Venezuela after suffering a minor ankle injury. His ankle is again completely healthy, and
he will join the Florida Flight for training camp in April.
"I just want to thank God for giving me so many opportunities to play basketball at this level,' said Dean. "I'm really looking
forward to joining the Florida Flight and helping this team bring a championship to the Avalon Park area of Orlando, Florida this
season."
"Bringing in Dean is a big deal for us," said King. "We want to invest in our players, and put them in situations where they can
share their talent and prove to other scouts that they are worthy of playing opportunities in the NBA and in various countries
around the globe. Adding a player like Mike Dean further establishes our credibility as a professional basketball program."
This season, the Flight will keep a 10-man active roster, as well as an inactive developmental roster for players seeking to
improve their game and jump to the next level. Training camp for the Flight starts April 20. The complete roster for the 2011
