Mark King, Owner, President and Head Coach "It is a well known fact that the amount of kids eager to play organized basketball exceeds the number of opportunities that exists in the public school system. As a kid who grew up without an opportunity to play for his school team, I know exactly how that feels.
Sports is a universal language that can teach critical societal elements like teamwork, accountability, leadership, and love and respect for others. As Owner, President and Head Coach of the Florida Flight, I'm proud to announce the formation of a premier youth league that provides a platform to teach these principles, while also helping young players improve their basketball skills under the guidance of our professional players and staff. Thank you for inquiring about our new Jr. Flight League. We hope to welcome you into our family. It would be our honor and privelage to partner with you as we invest in the future leaders of our world!

WHAT THE JUNIOR FLIGHT LEAGUE PROVIDES:
STANDARD LEAGUE BENEFITS:
-> 7 game season plus a playoff and championship
-> Jr. Flight Reversible jersey
-> Championship Trophies and/ or Medals for winners
EXCLUSIVE FLIGHT BENEFITS:
-> A custom-designed MVP ring for the top performer in the league
-> Teams coached by Flight players and staff with professional basketball experience
-> Recorded statistics with league leaders and standings posted online
-> Player of the week announcements
-> Webcast championship games via our online Ustream channel
* Friends/family members out of state/unable to attend can watch the game online!
-> Champions will also receive a free season ticket voucher for the upcoming Florida Flight basketball season

AGE GROUP:
-> 9-17, CO-ED (male and female)
---> Younger participants who's birthday lands after the start of the season but before the end of the season may register.
---> Older participants who's birthday lands after the start of the season may also register.
SEASON LOGISTICS:
->Season tentatively scheduled to run from September 5TH - October 29th
-> Game Days TBD (likely Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings, with the potential to have games on Saturday)
---> PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MONDAY, AUGUST 22ND AT 11:59PM
LEAGUE SET-UP
-> Open registration players will be placed in a division closest to their own skill level, ability and age group, under the discretion of the Florida Flight management staff.
-> The Jr. Flight will allow pre-formed teams, and will make a valid attempt to honor a player's request to play on the same team with another player.
---> PLEASE NOTE: There will be no team registration discounts. Each player will pay the same amount as open registration players
-> Teams will consist of no more than 10 players, providing ample opportunity for each player to play.
-> Every player on each team that is in attendance will play in every game.
-> Game schedules will be posted on this site, but also provided to coaches before the season begins for distribution to players and parents.
TEAM PRACTICES:
-> Policies concerning practice attendance are the responsibility of the individual coaches.
---> Each player is required to sign the waiver and release form before participating in any games or practices
-> Practice locations and times will be set by individual team coaches. Weekly practice schedule will vary by team.
-> Communication concerning changes in practice schedules, games, and locations will be made available here whenever possible; however, it is the responsibility of coaches and parents to establish their own
team communications during the season.
---> PLEASE NOTE: Team coaches are responsible for communicating with his/her players and parents tegarding game schedules, practice schedules, etc.
FEES:
-> $100.00/player
-> A $30 non-refundable administrative fee applies upon registration to cover preparational costs for each child (team jersey purchases, team placement, etc.)
-> A multi-player discount will be provided for families registering more than one child. 2nd child or more will receive a $25.00 discount/child thereafter
-> Flight Basketball Management and Staff reserve the right to request proof of dependency to receive multi-player discount.
-> Fees include a minimum of 7 games, a reversible jersey, end-of-season trophies and awards (if applicable), etc.
-> Checks, Money Orders and Credit Card payments (credit card payments made via paypal and include an online service processing fee)
