Co-Founder and President: Mark King
Mark King is a former professional basketball player and
founder of TCOB - The Cross Over Basketball, the parent
organization of the Florida Flight. A native of Inkster, MI, Mr.
a walk-on freshman basketball player in 1996. In 2001, he
was named an Honorary Kentucky Colonel for being a member
of Pikeville College's first ever Men's NAIA Final Four team.
He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Religion.

In 2006-2007, Mr. King played with the Orlando Aces of the
American Basketball Association (ABA), where he also
garnered a plethora of experience working in the Front Office
as the Director of Basketball Operations. In 2007-2008, he
held a similar player/management role with the East
Kentucky Miners of the Continental Basketball Association
(CBA).

He and his wife are the proud parents of a newborn baby girl.
Desiring to forego the heavy travel involved in playing for a
team away from home, he has redirected his attention
towards creating a basketball opportunity in Orlando, Florida.
He is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Organizational
Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Co-Founder: Dr. Jonathan Mitchell
Dr. Jonathan M. Mitchell is a dentist from Charlotte, NC. He is a
graduate of the College of Charleston and received his dental
and Ph.D. Degrees from the Medical University of South
Carolina.

Director of Corporate Relations: Andy Haas
where his basketball experience extends from high school,
AAU, and 2 years of professional basketball with the
Indiana Legends of the American Basketball Association
(ABA). In 2006, career opportunities prompted Andy and his
wife to relocate to Orlando, Florida.

Upon relocation, Mr. Haas successfully completed an AAS
Degree in Architectural CAD Design from ITT, but his
passion for basketball remains. His long-term goal is to
obtain a front office position with an NBA team, preferably
with the Indiana Pacers.

As Director of Corporate Relations, Haas' primary
responsibility includes networking for the Flight and
creating relationships that will assist the Flight with
executing the mission and vision of the team. From
corporate sponsors, church partners, and individuals within
the Flight's sphere of influence, Haas will be an integral
advocate for the FLight for years to come.

Director of Basketball Operations: Ernest Jones
Ernest Jones is a Graduate of Florida State University with a
Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Originally from West
Palm Beach, Florida, Mr. Jones has spent the last 6 years in
Orlando working for the State of Florida in areas of child
care and protection.  

Jones has been in the minor league professional basketball
circuit for over 5 years, playing in the USBL, ABA, and the
PBL. Most recently, Jones spent time with the Buffalo
Stampede of the PBL.

As Director of Basketball Operations, Jones will be
responsible for everything related to the operations of the
Florida Flight, including but not limited to: game and
practice scheduling, player development and selection,
basketball camps and mini-clinics, etc.

for several years now, dating back to our time with the
Orlando Aces of the American Basketball Association (ABA),"
said Jones. "We share a common vision, and our Christian
lifestyles are one and the same. I’m excited to be a
foundational piece of the Flight - a team that will help others
and change the way minor league basketball is operated.”
