"I love God, and I love basketball. With the Flight, I’ve been blessed with an opportunity to combine
both of those and make a difference in the future of our world,” explained King. “The opportunity to
work with House of Hope fits perfectly within the scope of our mission.”
Stephanie Groover, the Community Relations Assistant and Teacher for House of Hope Orlando, led the
tour.
“It’s important that these kids have people in their lives who not only preach the Gospel of Christ, but
also exemplify those truths, especially within the relationship setting offered through a Big Brother
setting,” said Groover.
Andy Haas, a 6' 5" guard/forward for the Flight, is eager to get started. “I take the blessing of being a
role model and leader for the younger generation very seriously,” Haas said. “I’m looking forward to
providing practical Christian applications within the lives of the youth at House of Hope.”
"Seeing the excitement of the Flight teammates as we progressed through the tour, and watching the
impact on the faces of the kids as each teammate shared their personal testimonies was such an
exciting experience," Groover said. "I think it's great that the members of the Florida Flight have such
willing hearts to give back to the community."
